Thelma C. Wehrle, age 99, of Blakeslee, Ohio, died at 1:33 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009, in Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, where she was a patient. Mrs. Wehrle was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Blakeslee. Thelma C. Wehrle was born on July 31, 1909, in rural Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Sophia (Fettig) Koby. She married John A. Wehrle on November 28, 1936, in Bryan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1999. Surviving are one daughter, Carole Burrell, of Waterford, Michigan, three grandsons, Mark (Palova Mosley) Perry, of Holly, Michigan, Alan Perry, of San Diego, California, and Brett (Vivian) Perry, of West End, North Carolina, two great-grandchildren, Ryan Perry and Simone Perry, one sister, LaVera Custer, of Montpelier, Ohio, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and her beloved cat, Snowball. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Koby, one sister, Mary Stuller, and her beloved cat, Fluffy. Services for Thelma C. Wehrle will be held on her 100th birthday, Friday, July 31, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Blakeslee, with Father Jon Wehrle, Father Stephen Schroeder and Father Fred Duschl officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Blakeslee. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2009, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon. Memorials in the name of Thelma C. Wehrle may be given to the American Cancer Society, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or the Alzhheimer’s Association.
