View Video Tribute Phyllis G. Williams, age 103, of Kendallville and formerly of Edon, Ohio, died at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Kendallville Manor Health Care Center, where she was resident. She graduated from high school in Nevis, Minnesota, and attended Minnesota Bible College. Phyllis G. Williams was born on September 6, 1903, in Wilmot, South Dakota, the daughter of George Alonzo and Mira Minnie (Orrock) Fuller. While attending college, she met Roy E. Williams (who was born Roy Winchel and adopted by the Williams family upon the deaths of his parents), who was studying to be a minister, and they married on September 2, 1926, in Nevis, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1992, after sixty-five years of marriage. Together, Phyllis and Roy ministered in Viola, Minnesota, Sugar Grove, Wisconsin, Smithville, Missouri, Viroqua, Wisconsin (twenty-five years), Ladysmith, Wisconsin, Pipestone, Minnesota, and Milford, Illinois. They retired and in 1972 moved to Edon, Ohio. Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Shirley Ann Weber, of Elroy, Wisconsin, two sons, Gerald (Laura) Williams, of Lake Wales, Florida, and Paul (Patricia) Williams, of Kendallville, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth, one son, Keith, three sisters and one brother. Services for Phyllis G. Williams will be on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Columbia Church of Christ with her sons and former pastors, Paul and Gerald Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in the Edon Cemetery in Edon, Ohio. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Phyllis G. Williams may be given to the Columbia Church of Christ.
