Carol Jean Orick, age 68, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in her home after an illness of one year. Mrs. Orick retired from Dekko Engineering in Butler, Indiana, with ten years of service. Carol Jean Orick was born on December 19, 1941, in Harts Creek, West Virginia, the daughter of James Melvin “Tibb” and Mint (Hicks) Farley. She married Charles R. Orick on May 25, 1973, in Edgerton, and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2006. Surviving are two daughters, Angela (Larry) Keegan, of Edgerton, and Karen Mosley, of Hindman, Kentucky, one son, Michael Hayes, also of Hindman, her grandchildren, Sean Gentry, Brandy Wells, Joshua Wells, Tabatha Mosley, Jeffery Todd Mosley and Jessica Mosley, and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, James “Jim”, Tommy and Jackie Farley, and six sisters, Sylvia Patton, Mavis Hicks, Alice Wicker, Lillie Slone, Billie Snyder and Christine Ely. She was also preceded in death by two infant sons, Timmy and Tommy Hayes, an infant daughter, Yvonne Hayes, her parents, four brothers and one sister. Visitation for Carol Jean Orick will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday, April 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Services will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Rose Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials in the name of Carol Jean Orick may be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Hospice and Home Health.
