View Video Tribute Elden W. Warner, age 80, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton, Ohio, where he was a patient for one day. Mr. Warner was a graduate of Edon High School and a veteran of World War II, having served as a member of the 5th Battalion of the Army Rangers. He was a member of John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion in Edgerton, Ohio, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489 in Bryan, Ohio, and the Ohio Valley Chapter of World War II Rangers. He was also a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Men, and Bryan Moose Lodge #1004. He was an avid fisherman and employed by Hayes Albion, retiring with over thirty-five years of service. Elden W. Warner was born on February 4, 1926, near Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Forest W. and Pauline (Ridenour) Warner. He married Pearl M. Winebar on September 10, 1949, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randy (Chris) Warner and Scott Warner, both of Edgerton, Ohio, two daughters, Linda (Michael) Miller, of Bryan, Ohio, and Pam Loftus, of Edgerton, Ohio. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one brother, Morris (Lorna) Warner, of Edgerton, Ohio, and one sister, Arlis (Orville) Cox, of Montpelier, Ohio. He was preceded in death by an infant sister and an infant grandson. Services for Elden W. Warner will be on Friday, March 17, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Tim Gleason officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio, with grave side military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 16. Memorials in the name of Elden W. Warner may be given to the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the Edgerton Free Store or the Sanctuary of Williams County.
