Helen Catherine Swihart, 75 years, of Bryan, Ohio, died Sunday, July 16, 2006 in her residence, after a short illness. Helen worked in the Environmental Services Department at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in both Bryan and Montpelier for eight years. She retired in 1996. Helen Swihart was born on February 19, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Dr. James E. and Clara May (Wright) Clark. She married Jaye R. Stewlow in 1952, and that marriage ended in 1973. She then married Glenn F. Swihart on June 24, 1977 in Adrian, Michigan, and he preceded her in death in January 1986. Surviving are her daughters, Cheryl L. Belt of Bryan, and Sheila G. Stewlow of Temperance, Michigan; two grandsons, Torrey Dean Belt, Sr., and Ryan C. Belt; Great-grandchildren, Torrey D. Belt, Jr., and Kristi N. Belt. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn, two sisters, Edna C. Shivley and Delana C. Weaver and half-sister, Isabelle Shuldice. There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements have been made by Krill Funeral Service, Bryan, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Helen Catherine Swihart may be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Hospice Care.
