Thelma F. Reas, age 94, formerly of Edon, died at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2006, in Anna’s House at Hillside Country Living, where she had been a resident since 2002. She had been a resident of Edon, Ohio, for sixty-three years and moved to Bryan, Ohio, in 1996, where she remained until moving to Hillside Country Living. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and they had visited all fifty states and several countries in Europe. She was also a graduate of Edon High School. Thelma F. Reas was born on July 10, 1911, in Ainger, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph and Jennie (Roberts) Ricketts. She married Earnest L. Reas on June 12, 1933, in Edon, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1993. Mrs. Reas is survived by one son Ronald (Bonnie) Reas, of Anderson, Indiana, a granddaughter, Erin (Scott) Reas-Williams, a great-grandson Brandon Williams, of Dearborn, Michigan, a granddaughter-in-law, Sue Reas, and great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Samantha Reas, of Clarkston, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson, Evan Reas. Services for Thelma F. Reas will be on Thursday, June 1, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours before the service on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of Thelma F. Reas may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
