David J. Buntain

David J. Buntain, 67, of Bryan, Ohio died Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Bryan Community Hospital in Bryan where he was a patient. Mr. Buntain was a 1960 graduate of Montpelier, High School and served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. He was employed by General Tire in Bryan, Ohio retiring with thirty-three years of service. David J. Buntain was born July 28, 1942 in London, England, the son of John and Gwyneth (Williams) Buntain. He married Barbara J. Mauk on June 4, 1965 in Montpelier, Ohio and she survives. He is also survived by four sons, John (Chris) of Marion, Indiana, Jeff of Bryan, Steve of Altamont, Kansas, Samuel of Bryan, and one daughter, Betsy (James) Dixon of West Unity, nine grandchildren and four brothers, Glyn (Sue) of Bryan, Terry (Terry) of Montpelier, Tim (Marian) of Maumee and Ric (Janet) of Tallmadge, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gwyneth in 1986 and John A. Buntain in 2005. Visitation for David J. Buntain will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio, with Reverend Brian Spangler and Reverend Willard Hochstetler officiating. Interment will be private. Memorials in the name of David J. Buntain may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice
