Jack E. Calvin, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:04 A.M. on Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, after an illness of six months. Mr. Calvin was a tool grinder at The Aro Corporation, retiring in 1990, with forty years of service. He was also a member of Bryan Faith United Methodist Church, Bryan Moose Lodge #1064 and Superior Masonic Lodge #0179, F & AM. He was also an avid gun collector. Jack E. Calvin was born on September 18, 1926, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Frank E. and Esther B. (Koeppe) Calvin. He married Juanita Crowe on December 23, 1949, in Bryan, Ohio, and she preceded him in death in 2008. Mr. Calvin is survived by one son, Timothy M. (Samara) Calvin, of Monroe, Georgia, three granddaughters, Brittany N., Addison C. and Callie-Jo E. Calvin, all of Monroe, Georgia, and one sister, Lindy Lou Jackson, of Midland, Michigan. He was also preceded in death by one sister, June Lawrence. Services for Jack Calvin will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Susan Roads officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio, from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, with Masonic services beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials in the name of Jack E. Calvin may be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care.
