Wilbur J. Winebar, age 83, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 5:25 A.M. on Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, where he was a patient. Mr. Winebar was a mechanic and had worked at Fisher Implement, Camp Implement, Imm Tractor Sales and Pierce Sunoco throughout his work career and also worked at MHE near Bryan for ten years prior to his retirement. He was also a pilot with the Civil Air Patrol for ten years and attended St. John Lutheran Church, Stryker, Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea during World War II. Wilbur J. Winebar was born on April 14, 1927, the son of Clarence and Mary M. (Worthington) Winebar. He married Mildred G. Kreger on September 25, 1954, in Hemlock, Michigan, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife, “Millie,” are his children, Keith (Sue) Winebar, Cliff (Lori) Winebar and Christina Custar, all of Edgerton, Tamara (Mark) Hardman, of Bryan, and Victoria (Mahlon) Huston, of Lithia, Florida, thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Robert (Jeanette) Winebar, of Bryan, and a sister, Pearl Warner, of Edgerton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pluma Ordway. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Services will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Private interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, with grave side military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post #10, Edgerton American Legion.
