Dateline: Edon, Ohio M. Juanita Deck M. Juanita Deck, age 73, of rural Edon, Ohio, died on Monday, March 6, at 12:10 a.m. in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient for thee days. Mrs. Deck worked at the Fashion Bug in Angola, Indiana, retiring in 2005 after fifteen years of service. She was a member of the Mount Union Christian Union Church near Edon, Ohio. M. Juanita Deck was born on January 3, 1933, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Marion and Violet (Shaffer) Higginbotham. She married James A. Deck on September 12, 1950, in Lagrange, Indiana, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Deck is survived by one daughter, Diana (Scott) Byrnes, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, three grandchildren, Toby Deck, of Montpelier, Ohio, Jaime Siebenaler, of Columbus, Ohio, Michelle Breitigan, of Lima, Ohio, and one great-granddaughter, Nevaya Deck. She is also survived by one brother, Clyde (Jan) Higginbotham, of Moorehead, Florida, and two sisters, Mary Lou Smith, of Napoleon, Ohio, and Lelah Davis, of Liberty Center, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one son, Mitch Deck, in 1973. Services for M. Juanita Deck will be on Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Glen Prine officiating. Interment will follow in the Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of M. Juanita Deck may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
