Herbert I.M. Sleesman, 72 years, of Coldwater, Michigan, and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died at 12:45 a.m.on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, in his residence with his family at his side. Herb was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was an Assistant Plant Manager for Mark 1 Molded Plastics, Jonesville, Michigan, for 26 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to that, he was employed at Bryan Custom Plastics, Bryan, Ohio. Herbert I.M. Sleesman was born on November 12, 1933, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of I.M. and Wilma (Hagerty) Sleesman. He married Phyllis A. Gonter on July 26, 1957, in Pulaski, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Sleesman is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Barry) Rinard, of Quincy, Michigan, and Jackie (Robert) Henley, of Litchfield, Michigan; two sons, Herbert (LaRita) Sleesman II, of Camden, Michigan, and David Sleesman, of Coldwater, Michigan; 13 grandchildren and one brother, Harold (Emma) Sleesman, of Kendallville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Wayne and Norman Sleesman, one sister, Maxine Schlegel, and one daughter-in law, Deborah Sleesman. Funeral services for Herbert I.M. Sleesman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2006, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Dr. Jeffrey Wollum officiating. Interment will follow in Farmer Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Sleesman will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2006, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of Herbert I.M. Sleesman may be given to Lifespan Hospice.
