David I. Dean, age 69, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 3:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2009, in his home after a brief illness. Mr. Dean was a graduate of Bryan High School and was employed by Ohio Art Company for 47 years, retiring as the Director of Manufacturing. He was a member of Bryan Masonic Lodge #215, of which he was a Past Master, the Zenobia Shrine in Toledo, Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233 and Bryan Moose Lodge #1064. He was an avid hunter and a member of Pheasants Forever. David I. Dean was born on September 19, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Donald and Marjorie (Garn) Dean. He married Rosemary J. Hartman on June 4, 1955, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Rosemary, Mr. Dean is survived by three daughters, Robin Hurley, of Bryan, Ohio, Sandra Gomez, of Stryker, Ohio, and Kim (Scott) Boyd, of Dayton, Ohio, one son, David (DeeAnne) Dean, Jr., of Moreno Valley, California, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Donald Dean II, in Arizona, Daniel (Jodee) Dean and Douglas Dean, both of Bryan, Ohio, and eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Hartman. Visitation for David I. Dean will be on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from 3-7 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Masonic services will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Services will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio, with Ted Mathes officiating, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions in the name of David I. Dean are requested to the Williams County Humane Society or to Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
