Jimmy D. Hodgdon, age 35, of Concho, Arizona, and formerly of Edgerton, Ohio, died suddenly on May 13, 2006, in Eagers, Arizona. Mr. Hodgdon attended Harlan Elementary School in Harlan, Indiana, Edgerton High School and 4-County Joint Vocational School, Archbold, Ohio. He was employed as a construction worker in Concho, Arizona. He participated in Cub Scouts while growing up in Edgerton. Jimmy D. Hodgdon was born in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, on January 23, 1971, the son of Jimmy B. Wertman and Ruth (Simmons) Hodgdon. He is survived by his mother, Ruth (Robert) Mayer, Fremont, Indiana, his father, Jimmy B. (Jane) Wertman, Columbia, Ohio, one brother, Charles Hodgdon, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and one sister, Jeanne (John) McRae, Bradenton, Florida. He was preceded in death by one brother, Sgt. George Hodgdon. Services for Jimmy D. Hodgdon will be on Saturday, May 27, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26. Memorials in the name of Jimmy D. Hodgdon may be given to the family, to a charity of the donor’s choice or with the planting of tree in his memory.
