Gary Edward Christman

Gary Edward Christman, age 65, of Montpelier, Ohio, died at 11:09 P.M. on Friday, December 4, 2009, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier, Ohio. Mr. Christman was a general foreman with The Aro Corporation, working most of his career in Angola, Indiana, retiring with thirty-five years of service. He was a member of the Montpelier Moose Lodge #312. He was an avid fisherman, devoted Buckeye and Tigers fan, and a long-time barber who enjoyed trimming up friends and family. Gary Edward Christman was born on July 7, 1944, in Defiance County, Ohio, the son of Denver and Mabel (Rose) Christman. He married Judy I. Reeb on May 16, 1976, in Montpelier, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Troy Christman, of Montpelier, Ohio, Brian (Karen) Christman, of Stow, Ohio, and Chad (Dawn) Christman, of Montpelier, Ohio, six grandsons, Benjamin, Thomas, Brooks, Cameron, Colin and Connor Christman, and his half-siblings, Mary Lou Barrows, Roger Christman, Denver Christman Leigh, Shirlee Tackwell, Sherree Miller, Michael Christman, Denise Christman, Peggy Christman, and Julie Christman. He was preceded in death by his father Denver, and his mother, Mabel Christman-Jodry. Visitation for Gary Edward Christman will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be given to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
