Pearl Ellen Kimpel, age 93, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida, where she was a patient. Mrs. Kimpel was a retired postal worker. She attended Life Changing Realities Fellowship in Edgerton, was a charter member of the Edgerton Historical Scoiety, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Edgerton Garden Club and was a long-time Sunday school teacher at the Edgerton Church of Christ and was the leader of a children’s Bible club in Edgerton for many years. She loved gardening and traveling with her family. Pearl Ellen Kimpel was born on September 21, 1915, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Cyrus and Minnie (Turner) Rosenberry. She married Lester Lavon Kimpel on December 31, 1934, in Butler, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1994. She is survived by one son, Denver (Connie) Kimpel, of Auburn, Indiana, one daughter, Shirley (Darwin) Krill, of Edgerton, Ohio, six grandchildren, Debbie Kimpel, Tami (Scott) Hartley, Mark (Melinda) Kimpel, Matthew (Alicia) Krill, Jeremy (Amanda) Krill and Zachary Krill, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one brother, Wayne Rosenberry, of Orange, California. Also preceding her in death were one son, Richard Kimpel, a brother, Leonard Rosenberry, and a sister, Helen Johnson. Services for Pearl Ellen Kimpel will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Life Changing Realities Fellowship in Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Byron Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18. Memorials in the name of Pearl Ellen Kimpel may be given to Community Pregnancy Centers of Northwest Ohio or to Life Changing Realities Fellowship Benevolent Fund.
