View Video Tribute Irvin F. Leppelmeier, age 77, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 4:35 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2006, in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Leppelmeier was a lifelong farmer and was active in the Zion Lutheran Church near Edgerton, where he was a member. He was also formerly a member of the Williams County Farm Bureau. Irvin F. Leppelmeier was born September 14, 1928, in Farmer Township of Defiance County, Ohio, the son of Alvin and Sadie M. (Baerlin) Leppelmeier. He married Ellen M. Vargo on September 16, 1968, at Zion Lutheran Church near Edgerton, and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sara (Brian) Lindquist, of Winona Lake, Indiana, one brother Lewis (Janice) Leppelmeier, of Edgerton, Ohio, one sister, Nancy (Don) Hook, of Butler, Indiana, and his nieces and nephews. Services for Irvin F. Leppelmeier will be Friday, February 17, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church near Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Chris Sigmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 16. Memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
