Robert E. Jozefowicz, age 80, of Montpelier, Ohio, died at 8:55 A.M. on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where he was a resident. Mr. Jozefowicz was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sargent with twenty-two years of service. He was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ, the Montpelier Moose Lodge and Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. Robert E. Jozefowicz was born on May 18, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edward and Irene (Staniewicz) Hartley. He married Juanita A. Thurman, who preceded him in death, and then married June J. Boyer on August 2, 1986, in Columbia, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2006. He is survived by three stepdaughters, Cheryl Nofziger, of Camden, Michigan, LuAnn (Joe) Jerger and Wanda (Jerry) Hug, both of Bryan, Ohio, one stepson, Phillip (Debbie) Moore, of Edon, Ohio, thirteen stepgrandchildren, fifteen stepgreat-grandchildren, and two sisters, Theresa Gonzales and Dolores Gdowski. Visitation for Robert E. Jozefowicz will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2010, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio. Services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. in the Columbia Church of Christ with Pastor Nathan Derico officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by Edon American Legion Post #662. Memorials in the name of Robert E. Jozefowicz are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
