View Video Tribute E. Margene Perry, age 81, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:31 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2006, in her home after an illness of three years. Mrs. Perry was a homemaker and caterer. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio, where she was a religious education teacher for twenty-five years, Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, the Toledo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Board and St. Catherine’s Study Club. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and Farm Bureau Council and was a Williams County Soil and Water District Board member and R.C. and D. E. Margene Perry was born on September 1, 1924, in Defiance County near Edgerton, the daughter of Lionel A. and Agnes M. (Miller) Dietsch. She married L. Wayne Perry on May 20, 1944, in Edgerton and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1991. She is survived by six sons: Stanley (Konnie) Perry, of Edgerton, Edward (Lori Balser) Perry, of Edgerton, Hugh (Jane) Perry, of Edgerton, Tod (Ann) Perry and Lionel (and Wendy Miller) Perry, both of Hicksville, and Monte (Jackie) Perry, of Edgerton; five daughters: Angela Kennerk, of Edgerton, Ohio, Candace (Don) Conley, of Edisto Beach, South Carolina, Jestine Schmitt, of Monroe, North Carolina, Mary (Darrin) Jones, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Beth (Jeff) Winzeler, of Edgerton, Ohio; and one daughter-in-law, Charlene (Bob) Nye, of Edgerton. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren, seventeen stepgrandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, thirteen stepgreat-grandchildren, one brother, Ubald (Frances) Dietsch, of Edgerton, Ohio, and special friend, Bill Camp, of Hicksville. She was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Perry, one grandson, Tom Kennerk, one granddaughter, Alecia Pike, one brother, Meredith Dietsch, and two sisters, Kathryn Flegal, and Ucharista Maxwell. Services for E. Margene Perry will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, February 20, and after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, with a scripture service to be held Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Memorials in the name of E. Margene Perry may be given to St. Mary School in Edgerton, Ohio, or to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospice Care.
