H. Pauline Hand, age 90, of Angola, Indiana, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2005, at 12:35 p.m. in Lakeland Nursing Center in Angola, where she had been a resident since October 2005. Mrs. Hand was a member of the Angola United Methodist Church, Steuben County Senior Citizens and the Williams County Ohio Historical Society. She was a descendent of one of Williams County’s pioneer families and attended the Florence Township and Edon schools. H. Pauline Hand was born on October 1, 1915, near Edon, Ohio, the daughter of Fred B. and Hazel (Allomong) Ingram. She married Kenneth E. Hand at the Methodist parsonage in Auburn, Indiana, on February 8, 1942, and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1980. Mrs. Hand is survived by cousins, Carol Disbro and Marilyn Toner, both of Edon, Ohio, and Phyllis Headley, of Angola, Indiana. She is also survived by nephews and nieces of her late husband, Roy Rozell, of Montpelier, Ohio, Marylyn Covell, of Frankton, Indiana, Karen Sollars, of Lafayette, Indiana, Teddy L. Franklin, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, William T. Hand, of Montgomery, Michigan, Richard B. Hand and Charles E. Hand, both in Michigan. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lieutenant Jay W. Ingram. Services for H. Pauline Hand will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2006, in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio with Pastor Laurence Smith of the Angola United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday, April 29. Committal will be in the Edon Cemetery with Reverend Alvin Covell officiating. Memorials in the name of H. Pauline Hand may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
