Esther C. Viall

Esther C. Viall, age 97, of rural Butler, Indiana, died at 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in her home. Mrs. Viall was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the Mary Martha Circle, the Edgerton Garden Club, the Phythian Sisters, Evening Star Chapter #14 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Edgerton, Ohio, of which she was a member for more than sixty years, and a member of the Daughters of Mokanna. Etsher C. Viall was born on May 21, 1908, in Franklin Township of DeKalb County, Indiana, near Butler, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Henry and Dora Belle (Bunge) Ridge. She married Emmett A. Viall on September 16, 1928, in Butler, Indiana, and he preceded in death on March 16, 1995. Mrs. Viall is survived by one niece, Carolyn Dennis, of DelRay Beach, Florida, four nephews, Roger Moughler, of Butler, Indiana, Jack Ridge, of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Jim Ridge, of Hinsdale, Illinois, and Jeff Ridge, of Butler, Indiana. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Vial preceded in death by one sister, Doris Moughler, and one brother, C. Robert Ridge. Services for Esther C. Viall will be Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Tim Gleason officiating. Interment will follow in Butler Cemetery, Butler, Indiana. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 31. Memorials in the name of Esther C. Viall may be given to the Edgerton United Methodist Church or to the Masonic Children's Home.
