Elsie B. Schelling, 92, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Thursday, February 9, 2006, at Shawnee Manor, Lima, Ohio, where she had been a resident the past 15 days. Elsie was a telephone operator, who was employed by Ohio Bell and also The Aro Corporation. She was a member of First Brethren Church, Bryan. Elsie B. Schelling was born on August 28, 1913, in Delaware Township, Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Ardilla (Bercaw) Bok. She married John P. Schelling on November 5, 1933, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schelling is survived by her daughter, Marlene A. Flora, and her husband, Doug Kuhn, of Belle Center, Ohio; one grandson, David B. Flora, of Greenfield, Indiana; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers, Walter, Glenn, Milo, Dale, Virgil, Millard and Ray Bok, and five sisters, Carrie Lang, Florence Lang, Hazel Fuller, Mae Gericke and Liva Balzer. Funeral services for Elsie B. Schelling will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2006, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastors Sam Shultz and Fred Brandon officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood, Ohio. Visitation for Mrs. Schelling will be held on Monday after 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials in the name of Elsie B. Schelling may be given to First Brethren Church.
