View Video Tribute Kathryn L. Burkhart, age 90, of Edgerton, Ohio, died on Thursday, March 30, 2006, in the home of her daughter after a brief illness. Mrs. Burkhart was a member of the Edgerton E.U.B Church for many years, where she was active as a pianist and was a Sunday school teacher. She was co-founder of the Jolly Neighbors Club in Edgerton and was active in the Edgerton Music Boosters for many years and had served as its president. She was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, Edgerton GALA and was an active follower of the athletic and academic activites of her family. She also spent thirty winters in Florida with her husband of sixty-three years, Marvin, and was a lifelong farm wife. Kathryn L. Burkhart was born on January 29, 1916, near Farmer, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Goldie (Miller) Ensign. She married Marvin Burkhart on June 6, 1937, in Edgerton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2001. Mrs. Burkhart is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (Don) Hug, of Edgerton, Ohio, one son, Bob (Patsy) Burkhart, of Traverse City, Michigan, four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Services for Kathryn L. Burkhart will be on Sunday, April 2, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Tim Gleason officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, April 1. Memorials in the name of Kathryn L. Burkhart may be given to Hospice Care of Williams and Fulton Counties.
