View Video Tribute Paul G. Herman, age 74, of Edgerton, Ohio, died early on Thursday, March 30, 2006, in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, Ohio, where he had been a resident. Mr. Herman was self-employed as a farmer and was also employed as a mechanic with Liechty Farm Equipment in Edgerton, Ohio, for thirty years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member and Past Commander of John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion in Edgerton. His memberships also included St. Mary Catholic Church and K of C Council #1494 in Edgerton and Butler Eagles Aerie #2733, Butler, Indiana. Paul G. Herman was born on August 6, 1931, in Holgate, Ohio, the son of Leonard X. and Cecil M. (Long) Herman. He married Willa Dean Rowan on June 22, 1957, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Herman is survived by five sons, Timothy, Jerry, Larry (Sherry), Louis (Mindi), all of Edgerton, and Joseph (Janice), of Montpelier, three daughters, Therese (Eric) Carlson, Butler, Indiana, Barbara (Kim) Carlson and Jennifer (Dean) Lorentz, both of Edgerton, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, one brother, John (Crystal) Herman, Perry, New York, and three sisters, Sister Marie Herman, O.S.F. and Sister Marcella Herman, O.S.F., both of Tiffin, Ohio, and Alice Moriarty, Napoleon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Edward, and one sister, Sister Carol Herman, O.S.F. Services for Paul G. Herman will be on Monday, April 3, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion, Edgerton. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home from 4 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, with a Scripture Service to be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Memorials in the name of Paul G.
