Ubald V. Dietsch

Ubald V. Dietsch, age 91, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 11:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in Hicksville, Ohio, where he was a resident. Mr. Dietsch was a lifelong farmer and former partner in Fisher Implement Allis Chalmers dealer in Edgerton. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #1494 in Edgerton. He also had served on and was a past president of the Edgerton Local School Board. He was an avid fisherman and spent many winters in Port Isabel, Texas. Ubald V. Dietsch was born on September 18, 1918, near Edgerton, the son of Lionel A. and Agnes M. (Miller) Dietsch. He married Frances L. Favourite on November 9, 1940, in Edgerton and she survives. Mr. Dietsch is also survived by a daughter, Sue (John) Close, two sons, Thomas (Pat) Dietsch and Kermit (Joyce) Dietsch, all of Edgerton, seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Elwood Dietsch, one grandson, Jeff Dietsch, in 1980, one brother, Merideth, and three sisters, Ucharista Maxwell, Kathryn Flegal and Margene Perry. Visitation for Ubald V. Dietsch will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with a scripture service to be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Edgerton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be given to St. Mary School in Edgerton.
