Jean E. Harvey, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Hillside Country Living, where she was a resident. Mrs. Harvey was a graduate of Libby High School in Toledo, Ohio. Throughout the years she has been employed by Brownwell Real Estate as a secretary and later became a hostess at Everhart's restaurant. She and her husband owned and operated Harvey’s Pastry, after purchasing the Ramsey Bakery in Bryan, for ten years. She worked at the Colonial Manor in Bryan for several years and then worked in medical records at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, retiring in 2003 with 23 years of service. She was also a member of the Lick Creek Church of the Brethren in Bryan. Jean E. Harvey was born on October 11, 1925, in Montpelier, Ohio, the daughter of Harold and Cletus (Stoner) Eady. She married Thomas E. Harvey on May 2, 1946, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2001. Mrs. Harvey is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Charles) Druen, of Concord, Virginia, and Judith (John) Alwood, of Edon, Ohio, one son, Thomas E. Harvey, Jr., of Grandville, Michigan, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Luanna (Robert) Hawley, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Eady, of Grand Blanc, Michigan. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wayne Eady, and a daughter, Jacquelyn S. Harvey. Services for Jean E. Harvey will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, followed by grave side services at 1:00 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hudson, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Lick Creek Church of the Brethren in Bryan, Ohio.
