Frances L. Dietsch, age 91, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:10 P.M. on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in Hicksville, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Dietsch was a beautician and seamstress and worked alongside her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the C L of C. She was also an avid fisherman and spent many winters in Port Isabel, Texas, with her husband, bringing home enough fish to support a local fish fry with Knights of Columbus Council #1494, supporting St. Mary’s School. Frances L. Dietsch was born on October 23, 1918, near Edgerton, the daughter of Thomas and Magdalene (Bowman) Favourite. She married Ubald V. Dietsch on November 9, 1940, in Edgerton, and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2010. Mrs. Dietsch is survived by a daughter, Sue (John) Close, two sons, Thomas (Pat) Dietsch and Kermit (Joyce) Dietsch, all of Edgerton, seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Elwood Dietsch, one grandson, Jeff Dietsch, in 1980, seven sisters, and five brothers. Visitation for Frances L. Dietsch will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with a scripture service to be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Edgerton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be given to St. Mary School in Edgerton.
