Richard F. “Dick” Trausch, Sr., age 62, of Edon, Ohio, died early Monday morning, June 21, 2010, at the home of his daughter in Edgerton, Ohio. Mr. Trausch was a graduate of Edon High School and worked at Mohawk Tools from 1967-1974. He was also a self-employed farmer and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Blakeslee, Ohio. Richard F. Trausch, Sr. was born on March 10, 1948, near Edon, Ohio, the son of Bernard and Lenora (Collins) Trausch. He married Brenda A. Manning on June 12, 1971, in Blakselee, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Jaime) Trausch, of Camden, Michigan, and Richard “Dickie” (Riann) Trausch, Jr., of Edon, one daughter, Theresa (Mark) Goebel, of Edgerton, eleven grandchildren, Kattarina Hamrick, Reba, Derek, Elijah and Camden Trausch, Chase, Hunter and Meadow Goebel, Morgan, Mayson and Madison Ray, and two great-grandchildren, Arianna Hamrick and Uhliviea Aufdencamp, two sisters, Margaret (Jim) Burrell, of Fremont, Indiana, and Mary (Larry “Sam”) Seaman, of Angola, Indiana, and three brothers, Tom (Betty) Trausch, Mark (Nikki) Trausch, and Don (Melody) Trausch, all of Edon. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Mike Trausch, and a sister, Rosie Trausch. Visitation for Richard F. Trausch, Sr. will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010, from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon. Recitation of the rosary will be at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home. Services will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Blakeslee, Ohio, with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Blakeslee. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
