Lewis Edward Addison, Jr., age 56, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Friday, August 11, 2006, in his home. Mr. Addison graduated from Western Reserve High School and held management positions with Verizon Communications for thirty years. He retired as the local manager of the Bryan and Bowling Green service areas with Verizon. He served as mayor of Fayette, Ohio, from 1984-88 and served on the Fayette village council from 1980-84, serving two years as the council president. He returned to council in 1989 to fill an unexpired term, giving him ten years of service to the Fayette community. He was a member of the Gorham Fayette Masonic Lodge #387, of which he served as Master two times. He was a twenty-five year member of the Scottish Rite of Toledo and a Life member of the Bryan Moose Lodge #1064, of which he was a two-time Governor. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489 Men’s Auxiliary in Bryan, Ohio, and the Sons of the American Legion Post #210 in Celina, Ohio. Lewis Edward Addison, Jr. was born on October 26, 1949, in Oberlin, Ohio, the son of Lewis Edward, Sr. and Elsie Christine (Hostetler) Addison. He married Casey B. Bohner on April 28, 1990, in Celina, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Addison is survived by one son, Jeffery Addison, of Perrysburg, Ohio, two grandsons, four stepdaughters, Christy Coutz, of Pioneer, Ohio, Cathy Lesniak, of Hudson, Michigan, Ronda Goebel, of Bryan, Ohio and Karen Cline, of Edgerton, Ohio, eight stepgrandchildren and two sisters, Christine Archbaucht, of Sarasota, Florida, and Peggy Wolff, of North Port, Florida.. Services celebrating the life of Lewis Edward Addison, Jr. will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, conducted by the Bryan Masonic Lodge. Memorials in the name of Lewis Edward Addison, Jr. may be directed to the Veteran Relief Fund for VFW Post #2489, c/o Don and Liz Purcell, Administrators or to Hospice Care of Williams and Fulton Counties.
