Lois Eileen Schumm

Lois Eileen Schumm, 83, a former resident of Van Wert, Ohio, and a 33-year resident of Tucson, Arizona, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, in Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton, Ohio, where she had been a resident the past six months. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Lois Eileen Schumm was born on July 8, 1922, in Rockford, Ohio, the daughter of Roy and Fairy (Rutledge) Anselman. She married J. Fred Schumm on January 11, 1939, in Rockford, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in November 1996. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra (Don) Hey, of Bryan, Ohio, one son, James (Phyllis) Schumm, of Green Valley, Arizona, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Gene and William Anselman. There will be no visitation and private memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials in the name of Lois E. Schumm may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
