Rev. Steven P. Scrabeck

Rev. Steven P. Scrabeck, age 55, of Edgerton, Ohio, and formerly of Bryan, died on Saturday, July 29, 2006, in his residence after a battle with cancer. Rev. Scrabeck received a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from North Central Bible College, Minneapolis, Minnesota, a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Minnesota and his Master’s Degree in Children’s Psychology from the University of Wisconsin. Rev. Scrabeck was the minister at First Assembly of God in Bryan for the past 14 years. Prior to this, he held ministries at River Falls Assembly of God, River Falls, Wisconsin, New Hope Assembly of God, Cornell, Wisconsin, West Bend Assembly of God, West Bend, Wisconsin, and Buffalo, Minnesota. He was a member of the Bryan Area Ministerial Association, where he was a Past President, Christian Counseling Association and was a former Camp Director at Assembly Park in Wisconsin. He also was a Little League Baseball coach. Rev. Steven P. Scrabeck was born on February 26, 1951, in Wells, Minnesota, the son of Paul and Dorothy (Culbertson) Scrabeck. He married Lila R. Spicer on August 14, 1971, in Buffalo, Minnesota, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Rev. Scrabeck is survived by three daughters, Kerry (Matt) Fox, of Roscoe, Illinois, Angela Scrabeck, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Sarah Scrabeck, of Edgerton; two sons, Michael (Deshi) Scrabeck, of Willmar, Minnesota, and David (Alissa) Scrabeck, of Winona, Minnesota; one grandson, Josiah J. Fox; his father, Samuel P. Scrabeck, of Alden, Minnesota; two sisters, Cherilyn (Keith) Bruzelius, of Alden, Minnesota, and Jenell (Cal) Cleveland, of Haslet, Texas; and one brother, Robert Scrabeck, of Albert Lea, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Scrabeck. Funeral services for Rev. Steven P. Scrabeck will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, in the First Assembly of God Church, 1105 Alpine Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Rev. Randy Trowbridge officiating. Visitation for Rev. Scrabeck will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church, 1105 Alpine Street, Bryan, Ohio. Grave side funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2006, in the Alden Cemetery, Alden, Minnesota. Local arrangements are by Krill Funeral Service, Edgerton, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Rev. Steven P. Scrabeck may be given to First Assembly of God Church, Bryan, Ohio.
