Ruby M. Bok, age 88, of rural Hicksville, Ohio, died 12:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Hickory Creek Care Center in Hicksville where she was a patient. Mrs. Bok was a lifelong member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton, Ohio where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She was also active in the Farm Bureau. She was 1936 graduate of Edgerton High School. Ruby M. Bok was born May 9, 1918, near Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Jacob and Susanna (Mathis) Hoffman. She married Arnold H. Bok on October 5, 1946, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and he survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons; Paul (Linda) Bok , of Springfield, Ohio, Mark Bok, of Columbus, Ohio, Steve (Shawna) Bok, of Hicksville, Ohio, one daughter, Margaret (Michael) Latimer, of Jacksonville, Florida, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters; Iris Knisely and Marie Appel, both of Edgerton, Ohio, and Frieda Shepard, of Owensboro, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by an infant half brother Henry Huth, Jr. and an infant son Ernest in 1948. Services for Ruby M. Bok will be Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Chris Sigmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 12. Memorials in the name of Ruby Bok may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church, Hicksville Crippled Childrens and Adults Society, Huber Opera House, Hicksville.
