Ned C. Stoufer, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 4:05 A.M. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where he was a resident, after an extended illness. Mr. Stoufer was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II, and was a self- employed painting contractor until his retirement. He was a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233 and was a Life Member of Bryan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489. Ned C. Stoufer was born on June 16, 1929, in Columbus Grove, Ohio, the son of C.E. and LaVerne (Fisher) Stoufer. He married Irene Sines on August 17, 1963, and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Daniel (Elizabeth) Stoufer, of Sherwood, Ohio, Doug Stoufer, of Bryan, and Dennis (Linda) Stoufer, of Fort Myers, Florida, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Keeterle, of Defiance, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Hesselschwardt. Visitation for Ned C. Stoufer will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, on Friday, February 19, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Eric Burkhardt officiating. Interment will follow in the Evansport Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489. Memorials in the name of Ned C. Stoufer may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
