View Video Tribute Ruth E. Burkholder, 65, of Pasadena, Texas, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in the M D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, after an extended illness. Mrs. Burkholder was a self-employed accountant. She was a 1958 graduate of Edgerton High School. Ruth E. Burkholder was born on August 1, 1940, near Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Rupert A. and Virginia E. (Yingling) Herman. She married David L. Burkholder on August 8, 1964, and he survives. Mrs. Burkholder is also survived by three daughters, Joann (Daniel) Dyke, of Vancouver, Washington, Donnell Burkholder, of Newark, California, and Anita (Jon) Gates, of Pasadena, Texas; three grandchildren, Tiffany, age 15, Daniel, Jr., age 11, Emily, age 8, all of Vancouver, Washington; and her mother, Virginia Herman, of Edgerton, Ohio. She is also survived by six brothers, William R. (Pat) Herman, and George E. (Pat) Herman, both of Edgerton, Richard E. Herman, of Walkersville, Maryland, David R. (Patty) Herman, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael A. Herman, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Daniel J. (Shari) Herman, of South Bend, Indiana, and two sisters, Margaret Ann (Robert Jr.) Warnock, of South Bend, Indiana, and Christina M. (Dennis) Jones, of Hamilton, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, Rupert, in 2004. A memorial service for Ruth E. Burkholder will be held on Friday, May 12, 2006, at 1:30 p.m in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service. Memorials in the name of Ruth E. Burkholder may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
