Virgilia Platt, age 90, of Edgerton, Ohio, and a longtime Hamilton, Indiana, resident, died at 7:00 A.M. on January 13, 2010, in Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. Platt was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio, and its Rosary Altar Society. Virgilia Platt was born on October 25, 1919, in DeKalb County, Indiana, the daughter of Jacob and Eugenia (Marshall) Werner. She married Raymond Platt on May 30, 1942, in Auburn, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1979. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Platt, of Butler, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with a scripture service at 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in Eddy Cemetery, near Hamilton, Indiana. Memorials in the name of Virgilia Platt may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
