View Video Tribute Leon W. Rowe, age 71, of Edgerton, Ohio, died on Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, where he was patient. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Agriculture and worked at Convoy Equity for many years prior to moving to Edgerton, where he was employed by Lutterbein Lumber Company as a bookkeeper. He later worked at Wicks Lumber in retail sales. Most recently he was a cashier at Myro’s Pizza in Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Rowe was an active member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church throughout the years, serving as Lay Leader, administrative board member, Sunday school teacher, Bible school director, a Pathways teacher, and a member of the United Methodist Men. He was also active with Edgerton Boy Scouts. Leon W. Rowe was born on August 15, 1934, in Van Wert County, Ohio, the son of Wayne and Dorothy (Baldwin) Rowe. He married Donna Lou Gullett on December 27, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rowe is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Scott) Myerholtz, of Bryan, Ohio, one son, Lloyd (Lisa Nye) Rowe, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, seven grandchildren, Amanda, Jenna, Brittany, Travis, Stephanie, Andrew and Haley, and one brother, Donald (Louise) Rowe, of St. Mary’s, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lloyd Thomas Rowe. Services for Leon W. Rowe will be on Thursday, July 6, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Tim Gleason officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio, with grave side services at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 4-6 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5. Memorials in the name of Leon W. Rowe may be given to the Edgerton United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
