Carol J. Richardson, age 80, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 7, 2010, in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, Evening Star Chapter #14, Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a 50-year member, and John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary. She worked alongside her husband, Bob, at Bob’s Dairy Bar, "the Home of Bob’s Big Burger," for forty years, where she enjoyed serving milkshakes to young and old, until their retirement in 1989. Carol J. Richardson was born on December 12, 1929, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Paul A. and Zella (Beach) Krill. She married Robert B. Richardson on July 24, 1949, in Edgerton and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2009. Also surviving are her four children, Rob (Penny) Richardson, Brent Richardson and Lori (Brian) Michael, all of Edgerton, and Shelly (Larry) Rice, of Ney, Ohio, and six grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry, three brothers, Joseph, Jack and William, and two sisters, Katherine Lees and Mary Alice Thiel. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with D.V. Dillinger, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials in the name of Carol J. Richardson may be given to the Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program or to the family to help with medical expenses.
