Amber Fay Short, age 93, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:15 P.M. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Center in Montpelier, Ohio, shortly after being admitted. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Bryan and loved going to the Senior Center to play cards. She also enjoyed quilting with ladies at the church, craft making and spending time with family. Amber Fay Short was born on March 27, 1917, in Madison Township, of Williams County, Ohio, the daughter of Irvin and Willo Belle (Scott) Beck. She married Arthur Short on September 27, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Short is survived by two daughters, Linda (Larry) Beaverson, of Traverse City, Michigan, and Charlotte (LeRoy) Stantz, of Kunkle, Ohio, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Delbert, Delaurel, Clarence, Seymour and Dick Beck, and three sisters, Blanche Frappier, Anna Rademacher and Mable Beck. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Larry Snavley officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials are requested to First Church of Christ, Bryan.
