Kevin Eugene Traxler, age 47, of Montpelier, Ohio, died late Sunday afternoon, August 8, 2010, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Montpelier. Kevin graduated from Edgerton High School in 1980 and worked at General Tire in Bryan, Ohio, and then was employed at Material Suppliers, Inc. in Edgerton, Ohio, where he drove tractor trailers and most any other heavy equipment involved in gravel pit operations. He was also involved in plant equipment maintenance and repair. Recently he was employed by Performance Food Group of Kendallville, Indiana, where he and his eldest son, Nick, were team drivers for PFG. He also loved to work on cars. Kevin Eugene Traxler was born on November 24, 1962, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Lyle H. and Delores A. (Haines) Traxler. He is survived by four sons, Nick (Megan) Traxler, of Cecil, Ohio, Nate Traxler, J.J. Traxler and Josh Traxler, and their mother, Lori Ann (Follis) Traxler, all of Edgerton, and one grandson, Jarod Traxler. Also surviving are his parents, Lyle and Delores Traxler, of Montpelier, one sister, Karla (Duane) Mabee, of Hixon, Tennessee, and five brothers, Kyle Traxler, of Montpelier, Sean Traxler, of McKinney, Texas, Mark Traxler, of Washington, D.C., Chris Traxler, of Montpelier, and Jimmy Traxler, of Defiance, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adam and Mildred Traxler and Lester and Louise Haines, and a nephew, Jarod William Traxler. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
