Hoyt B. Hinkle, age 92, of Edon, Ohio, died at 7:34 P.M. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier, Ohio, where he was a resident, after an extended illness. Mr. Hinkle was a 1937 graduate of Montpelier High School and was a lifelong farmer. He also formerly attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Montpelier. Hoyt B. Hinkle was born on April 7, 1918, in Angola, Indiana, the son of Orrin B. and Carrie (Dirrim) Hinkle. He married Wilma Mae Tingley on December 25, 1940, in Troy, Ohio, and she survives. He is also survived by two sons, Larry (Glenda) Hinkle, of Pioneer, Ohio, and Edwin L. (Marjorie) Hinkle, of Edon, Ohio, eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Hinkle. Private visitation and a private service will be held at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Daniel Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
