Timothy John Johnson, age 66, passed away in his home in Palm Springs, California, on August 14, 2010, after battling COPD for several years. Tim was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on May 17, 1944, the son of Richard and Maribeth (Shirley) Johnson. In recent years, he established a home in Palm Springs and was the owner of a health care and hospitality clothing retail company before his health caused him to retire. He was an active drug and alcohol counselor and very active in his church, The Metropolitan Community Church of Palm Springs. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, two uncles, and an aunt. He is survived by his spouse, Reverend Ronald T. Pannell, his sister, Patricia Jackson, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, his brother, Leonard, of Edon, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life at his home church in California on August 28 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in his family plot at the Edon Cemetery in Edon, Ohio.
