James R. Lord, 79, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, following a year-long battle with cancer. Born June 19, 1931, in Bryan, to Linus L. and Lamoile (Easterly) Lord, he was a 1949 graduate of Edgerton High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the construction industry for over 50 years, formerly with Weaver Construction and later as a self-employed contractor. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing and golfing. He married Judy A. Okuly on November 1, 1974, and she survives. Also surviving are children Tracy O'Brien (husband Robert Bolenbaugh) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Terri (Jim) Morr of Bryan, Deb Lord of Montpelier, Rick Lord of Edon, and grandchildren Alex, Margo, and Tara Morr. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Lord. Private services will be held at Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Memorial contributions can be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Hospice.
