Gene Charles Mearse

Gene C. Mearse, age 53, of Hamilton, Indiana, died at 10:21 P.M. on Thursday, April 1, 2010, shortly after admittance to Cameron Hospital in Angola, Indiana. Mr. Mearse was a graduate of Hamilton High School and was currently employed by H & W Hardware in Hamilton. Gene Charles Mearse was born on August 2, 1956, near Butler, Indiana, the son of Billie A. and Helen I. (Thompson) Mearse. He is survived by his mother, Helen Mearse, of Hamilton, two brothers, Orin “Odie” (DeAnn) Mearse, of Edon, Ohio, and Paul Mearse, of Angola, Indiana, a sister-in-law, Patty Thompson, of Evansville, Indiana, five nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Billie Mearse, and one brother, Jay Roger Thompson. Services for Gene C. Mearse will be on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Sam Weimer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Blakeslee, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2010. Memorials in the name Gene C. Mearse are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
