Gary E. Roesti, age 66, of Defiance, Ohio, died at 9:43 P.M. on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in the Bryan Care & Rehabilitation Center, Bryan, Ohio, where he was a patient. Mr. Roesti was employed as a machine operator with GM Powertrain in Defiance, Ohio, retiring in 1992 after 28 ½ years of service. He was a member of Sherwood United Methodist Church, Bryan Amvets Post #54, and Defiance Eagles Aerie #372. Gary E. Roesti was born on August 28, 1943, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Lester A. and Pauline K. (Zachrich) Roesti. He married Caryl Ferrebee on June 12, 1982, in Defiance, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are one sister, Nancy (Charles) Latchaw, of Kendallville, Indiana, and two brothers, Jon (Toby) Roesti, of Defiance, and Larry (Sharon) Roesti, of St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Roesti. Services for Gary E. Roesti will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Kevin Doseck officiating. Interment will follow in Farmer Cemetery, Farmer, Ohio, with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 14, 2010. Memorials may be given to Sherwood United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
