Max W. Madden, age 77, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 12:20 A.M. on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, Ohio, where he was a resident. Mr. Madden was a retired construction worker and served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957. He was a member of John D. Smith Post #10 of the Edgerton American Legion and the Edgerton United Methodist Church and was also an avid race fan. Max W. Madden was born on October 23, 1933, near Hamilton, Indiana, the son of Cranston W. and Esther (Hanville) Madden. There are no immediate survivors. He is survived by a special friend and caretaker, Betty Akers, of Edgerton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother. Services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Reverend R.L. Barnett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, with grave side military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post #10 of the Edgerton American Legion. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
