View Video Tribute Judith A. Powell, age 66, of Spencerville, Indiana, died at 11:39 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Heritage Park Nursing Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient. Mrs. Powell was employed by General Electric in Fort Wayne, retiring in 1999 with twenty-five years of service. She attended the Spencerville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Hicksville, Ohio, Eagles and the Hicksville American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Okeechobee, Florida, American Legion Auxiliary. Judith A. Powell was born on August 10, 1940, in Auburn, Indiana, the daughter of William M. and Ethelyn E. (Baker) Miller. Mrs. Powell is survived by five children, Ned A. (Karen) Powell, of Belleville, Ohio, Brian L. (Debbie) Powell, of Jacksonville, Florida, Kimberly (Bob) Gettys, of Spencerville, Indiana, Ruthie D. (Darrell) Holmes, of Independence, Missouri, and Michael D. Powell, of Fort Myers, Florida, nine grandchildren, two brothers, James (Sandy) Miller, of Spencerville, Indiana, and Ted (Debbie) Miller, of Butler, Indiana, and one sister, Gwen (David) Mihuc, of Edgerton, Ohio. A memorial service for Judith A. Powell will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. in the Spencerville United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Weesner officiating. Visitation will be held in the church two hours prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in White City Cemetery near Spencerville. Memorials in the name of Judith A. Powell may be given to the Spencerville United Methodist Church.
