Rosa I. Burlew, age 78, of rural Edon, Ohio, died Monday, November 6, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana where she had been a patient since Saturday. Mrs. Burlew was a homemaker and a bus driver for the Edon Northwest Schools retiring in 1996 with twenty-five years of service. She attended the Columbia Church of Christ and enjoyed keeping track of the children transported and her nieces and nephews. She was a person everyone could count on. She loved taking pictures, enjoyed flower gardening, identifying birds and traveling. Rosa I. Burlew was born February 24, 1928, in Temperance, Michigan, the daughter of Amos and Annie Jones. She married James H. Burlew on December 7, 1946 at the Chapel in the Garden in Angola, Indiana and he survives. In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by three daughters: Linda (Gaby) Nasrallah, of Roswell, New Mexico, Peggy (Charles) Scheeter, of Coldwater, Michigan, Annie Burlew, of Edon, Ohio, eight grandchildren; Laura Lee (Shawn) Strickland, of Tracy, California, Freddy (Amanda) Nasrallah, Joseph (Amanda) Nasrallah and Tiffany Nasrallah, of Roswell, New Mexico, Amy, (Mark) Waldrop, of Quincy, Michigan, Chuck Scheeter, of Coldwater, Michigan, Rosie Sickels, of Edon, Ohio, Annie Mae Burlew, of Toledo, Ohio, six great-grandchildren, Jacob, William and Krysten Nasrallah, of Roswell, New Mexico, Taylor Waldrop, of Quincy, Michigan, Tresten and Mariannah Burlew-Sickels, of Edon,Ohio. She is also survived by four sisters: Marjorie Green, of Elkhart, Indiana, Ida (Robert) Teats, of Montpelier, Ohio, Helen Wisner, of Fayette, Ohio and Mary Ann (Garner) Parks, of Albion, Michigan and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Amos, Jr. And Samuel Jones a daughter, Sandra Burlew and a grandson, Michael Scheeter Services for Rosa I. Burlew will be Friday, November 10, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Columbia Church of Christ with Nathan Derico, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in the Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 9. Memorials may be given to the Susan G. Kohlman Breast Cancer Resarch fund.
