Charles E. Cope, 77 years, of Bryan, died at 10:14 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Cope was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a car salesman for Poinsette Motors in Fort Wayne for several years. He was a member of the Neosho American Legion Post 163. Charles E. Cope was born on July 12, 1929, in Neosho, Missouri, the son of Clyde and Erma Clarice (Honeycutt) Cope. Surviving are his special friend, Elsie Gray, of Bryan; daughters, Sheri (Joe) Bissonnette and Tamara Cope, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one son, John D. Cope, of Auburn, Indiana; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold “Dean” (Betty) Cope; and life-long friend, John Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda Sommers. Memorial services for Charles E. Cope will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2006, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Visitation for Mr. Cope will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Patrick Catholic church or to the American Heart Association.
