Russell C. Kuckuck, age 90, formerly of Edon, Ohio, died Friday, November 3, 2006 in Leesburg Regional Medical Center where he was a patient. Mr. Kuckuck operated the Edon Shell Station for many years until his retirement. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Edon American Legion Post #662. He was also a member of the DAV and the Edon Church of Christ.. Russell C. Kuckuck was born May 7, 1916 in Corunna, Indiana, the son of Carl and Ida (Betz) Kuckuck. He was married to Merle Moore and Wilma Fry and they both preceded him in death. Mr. Kuckuck is survived by two sons, Norman (Karen) Kuckuck, of Apopka, Florida, Stephen Kuckuck of Edon, Ohio and one daughter, Jeanine (Jim) Downer of Quincy, Michigan and two granddaughters, Libby and Ivy Downer Downer. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Kuckuck, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and one sister, Thelma Schmidt, of Monsanto, Washington. In addition to his wife, he was preceded by two brothers, Orville and Lloyd Kuckuck and one son, William Kuckuck. Services for Russell C. Kuckuck will be Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Glenn Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Edon, Cemetery, Edon, Ohio with graveside military rites conducted by Edon American Legion Post #662. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 4 -8 p.m. on Friday, November 10. Masonic services for Russell Kuckuck will be held Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. conducted by Edon Masonic Lodge #474. Memorials in the name of Wilma E. Kuckuck may be given to a the Edon Church of Christ or to charity of the donor’s choice.
