Donna J. Hayes

View Video Tribute Donna J. Hayes, age 69, of Edon, Ohio, died at 7:40 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2006, at Harborside Care Center in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. Hayes was the manager of the Edon Main Stop for thirty years. Donna J. Hayes was born on January 12, 1937, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Harmon H. and Maud L. Mills. She married Burl K. Hayes on November 17, 1962, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on February 20, 2001. Mrs. Hayes is survived by eight children, Ms. Michelene Keller, of Edon, Ohio, Cheryl (Sidney) Smith, Julie (Bob) Onstott, Linda (Bill) Elwood, Janie (Skip) Smith, all of Hicksville, Ohio, Carrie (Greg) Livensparger, of Edon, Ohio, and Lisa Hayes, of Camden, Michigan, one son, Kent Hayes, in Oregon, thirty grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Hayes is also survived two brothers, Harold “Pete” (Bonnie) Mills, of Edon, Ohio, and John W. Mills, Sr., of LaGrange, Indiana, and a sister, Sharon Mills, of Montpelier, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Burl K. Hayes, Sr., one daughter, Susan Busche, one son, John W. Mills, Jr., a grandson, Alex Hayes, and a great-grandson, Brendan Elwood. Services for Donna J. Hayes will be on Thursday, November 9, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon Ohio, with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Edon Cemetery, Edon, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8. Memorials in the name of Donna J. Hayes may be given to Cancer Assistance of Williams County or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
