Frederick Bruce “Os” Parker, 73, of Bryan, Ohio, died suddenly on Sunday, October 10, 2010, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan. Mr. Parker was a 1955 graduate of Bryan High School and a 1959 graduate of the University of Michigan. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served as a supply officer on the destroyer USS Eversole for two years. He then returned to the University of Michigan, graduating from law school in 1964 and returned to Bryan to practice law with the Parker & Fenton law firm. In 1978, he became judge of the Bryan Municipal Court and held that position until he retired in 1994. He served with the Williams County Veterans Commission and was past president of numerous civic organizations. He enjoyed playing the banjo, RV’ing in his motor home and was an avid dog lover. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan. Frederick Bruce Parker was born on January 25, 1937, in Bryan, the son of Frederick R. and Helen (Theobald) Parker. He married Marcia Green on June 21, 1959, in Bryan, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Laura (Steve) Bennett, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, one son, Frederick “Rob” Parker, of Columbus, Ohio, one grandson, Frederick Ian Parker, one sister, Patricia (Dr. Dave) Roebuck, of Traverse City, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.
